Writing is not a talent, but a skill. For many, this skill does not come easily. Like-wise, producing academic writing remains a struggle for many students unfamiliar with this type of text production.

In this workshop, participants will be guided to explore publications as well as their own writing. By perceiving how the story “is told” in a publication and for whom it was written, participants can then adapt these learnings to transform their research into a written manuscript that corresponds with international journal expectations. Likewise, participants will also be introduced to the writing process, the submission process as well as a variety of strategies that will help draft texts more effectively and efficiently, to pinpoint their strengths and weaknesses, and to revise them effectively.

During the workshop, professional input from the trainer will alternate with practi-cal written exercises and discussions of relevant issues. Participants will be re-quired to submit both a self-written text as well as a well-written publication from their field prior to the workshop. Both submissions will be explored during the workshop. Guidelines, a deadline, and where to send these submissions will be sent to participants once their enrollment in the workshop is confirmed.
